Responsible for:

Programming and application development using industry standard Client-Server and Web technologies that support business objectives and priorities; Maintaining and implementing enhancements to department systems according to IS&T standards, including software and tools; Providing 24x7 on-call technical support for mission critical enterprise applications; Providing technical guidance within team to resolve business problems for clients of Client-Server and Web Development, while providing management up to date status of existing projects; Working with Help Desk and Q&A teams in user acceptance testing and sign-off; Sharing technical and applications functionality knowledge with other team members, business users and senior management; Providing input into the effective uses of information systems services resources and technologies; Assisting senior management team in creating technical architecture of client-server and web systems; Assisting senior management team in development and assessment of new system initiatives; and working with business representatives from corporate and field. This position requires a broad understanding of varying technologies available and the ability to translate functional requirements and create technical requirements for development of enterprise systems.

Requires:
. BS or BA in Information Systems, Computer Science or related course of study, a minimum of six years of applications programming experience, and a minimum of three years of web development experience.
. Development experience with: Microsoft .NET smart-client application development (C#, Winform, XML, Web Services), Microsoft .NET thin-client application development (C#, ASP.NET, Webform, XML, Web Services), Microsoft ASP, ActiveX controls, JavaScript, ColdFusion MX, Oracle v8/9 PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005.
. Server configuration and setup experience with Microsoft IIS/Windows Server 2003, Microsoft .NET, and Coldfusion MX, and Network familiarity with Two and Three tier application environments, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Clustering (Application and OS), SSL.

Also prefer experience in Microsoft Visual Studio (Visual Basic 6, C++), J2EE Applications Servers (Jrun v3/4), Java Swing Based application development (JBuilder, Jrun, XML, Web Services), Brio SQR v8 report development, and MCAD or MCSD.Net certification.

Buffalo, NY location. Salary up to 82K (note lower cost of living in Buffalo)
