What You’ll Do…

This position will work as part of a team to deliver web solutions for the Online Services group.  Responsibilities include:

• Build scalable web-serving technology that allows Traditional-Media Companies (Newspaper, Radio, TV, Print) to compete in the Internet Era.
• Build/design of web technologies that will be the foundation for serving thousands of websites and hundreds of millions Page-Views a month!
• Influence the design of software that will literally serve web content to a the vast majority of people in the USA and millions more across the globe
• Work with other engineers, developers, architects, QA, system engineers and product managers in solving new and existing technical issues
• Understand requirements, implement designs, provide administration tools and documentation for specific projects
• Perform unit testing on own work and the work of others
• Participate in Design and Code Reviews
• Follow and enhance existing development processes
• Measure and verify that new and old code has acceptable performance and scalability
• Maintain ownership of the projects assigned
• Consistently meet project deadlines
• Design and implement administrative interfaces for content management system
• Identify and help implement improvements to content management framework
• Review and analyze third party technology partners

Knowledge and Experience Required…

The ideal person for Online Services role will have experience in a fast-paced online environment, experience working with media clients and advertisers, a head for business as well as technology and a drive to move into progressively more challenging roles.

General Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business, computer technology, communications or related field 
• 3+ years of experience in web application development and implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very good oral and written communication skills regardless of audience:
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a project and foster team cooperation.
• Must be able to communicate (written and verbally) technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel (clients and coworkers).
• Team-oriented experience highly desired
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Superb attention to detail
• Stays current with rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs.
• User Interface design skill and experience
• Understands basic web design practices and effectively implement creative design and/or style guidelines in to applications and solutions.

Required Technical Skills

• 3+ years of .NET and Object Oriented programming experience
• Strong Experience in building ASP.NET applications
• Experience with .Net 2.0 or higher framework and C#
• Strong experience in building web interfaces, using HTML / XHMTL, DHTML, CSS1 / CSS2, JavaScript, XSL, .Net and Web Standards-based layout
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server; T-SQL, and Stored Procedures
• Strong experience in all aspects of the software lifecycle
• Experience with AJAX (ASP.NET AJAX Framework)

Additional Desired Technical Skills

• Experience with CMS (Content Management Systems)
• Experience with Web Analytics systems
• Experience with Web Ad-serving platforms
• Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service)
• Experience with UGC (User Generated Content)
• Experience with Flash, Silverlight, or other Rich Internet Application applications
• Related experience in software testing and design desired
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture, Creating and consuming SOAP and / or REST Web Services.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies such as; WF (Windows Workflow Foundation), WCF (Windows Communication Foundation, WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
