Position:         Sr. Software Engineer

Location:        Dearborn, MI

Rate:               Open (Depending on Experience)

Duration:        Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire

Performs requirements analysis, design, programming, and unit/integration testing of assigned systems and modules.  Is proficient in the following languages/technologies: XML, XSLT, Web Services, C#.NET, and SQL.  Experienced developer.  Experienced with database interactions.  Understands and follows the principles of object oriented design. Prepares complete and accurate estimates of tasks/projects.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Essential or Primary Duties of the job

• Design and build high-quality applications and components
• Perform ongoing maintenance of software products in multiple release streams
• Troubleshooting
• Understand and follow common development methodologies
• Experience with all phases of software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, analysis, design, build, deployment, and maintenance
• Accurately estimate effort and duration of development tasks
• Gather and document user requirements as necessary. Ability to prototype to gather user requirements and perform proofs of concept and demos
• Create technical specifications (design) documentation from functional specifications/requirements
• Experience with enterprise production environments, including understanding operational support issues
• Ability to interact well with client on technical issues
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and individually
• Understanding of n-tier enterprise applications, web applications, and middleware application servers.
• May lead small development projects
• May have the ability to load data and report on data
• May design/architect components or applications

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience in software development of web applications
• Strong working experience in the following technologies:  XML, XSLT, Web Services, C#.NET, Javascript, and SQL.
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience using databases and stored procedures
• Development experience with Flash, J2EE/Java, Flex, Oracle, SQLServer, CVS,  InstallShield™, and CruiseControl, (n)Ant   a plus.
• Experience with content management systems a plus
• Experience with load and unit testing software a plus
• Experience with UML and use cases a plus
