(Job Description): POSITION SUMMARY

The .NET Solution Architect position is a combination of Technical Analyst, Data Architect, Technical Lead, Coder and Software Architect. As a solution architect, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of programming services including analyzing and developing new web applications, resolving and identifying bugs or application issues, and delivering projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Solution Architect will have a mix of advanced technology and strategic business acumen. This role requires both broad and deep technical knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by mapping common product requirements and business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions designed for the .NET platform.

Principal Duties and Required Skills

·         Design all aspects of a solution based on the Microsoft .NET platform using best practices and common patterns, including database, component layers, user interfaces, web services, and integration patterns.

• Deep experience developing enterprise solutions using all aspects of the .NET platform: C#, ASP.NET, HTML/JavaScript, ADO.NET, XML, Web Services, multi-threaded programming, designing and building frameworks, SQL 2000/2005 design and development, T-SQL, performance and load testing, development tools (VS 2005). 
  
  
• Outstanding negotiation, organizational, creative, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  
  
• Strong background on UML use-case modeling and design.
  
  
• Extensive understanding of Object Oriented Architecture design and programming.
  
  
• Strong background on CMS-based web applications. Working experience with SharePoint Server 2007 is an asset.

Qualified candidates must posses a university degree in software engineering or computer science.
