WPF and WCF tools are late and I am getting frustrated
So we have all seen awesome presentations on using WCF and WPF and we are told to go ahead and use them because .NET 3.0 is released today.  But if I go here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=F54F5537-CC86-4BF5-AE44-F5A1E805680D&displaylang=en

I see that the Visual Studio add-in for these tools is still a CTP.  I'm afraid of installing this on my production (and only) computer.  My development environment is slow enough as it is.  I cannot tollerate any level of instability.  So I'm chomping at the bit for these "Cider" plugins.  Am I being too impatient?  Am I being too lazy?  Should I be able to just go use the stuff?  Am I leaning too much on the tools?  Has Microsoft's excellent tools spoiled me and made me lazy?

Anyone doing cool things in the WCF and WPF world without using CTP/Beta tools?

The released WorkFlow tools are awesome.  I just want the same level of awesome for the rest of .NET 3.0.

Anyone know of an ascii based net tcp binding for WCF?  I'd love to talk to my service in an SMTP/POP kind of way.

Re: WPF and WCF tools are late and I am getting frustrated

Everlast,
I am just as excited as you are to get these tools and begin using them. Unfortunately I am developing in VS 2003. But we are supposed to upgrade to 2005 next week! Of course we have been saying that for months, hopefully this is the week. I am planning to dive right in. If I see any problems I'll let you know.

I just found out the tools aren't coming for 2005.  We have to wait for orcas :(

This November CTP is the last planned release of Cider as an extension to Visual Studio 2005. Future CTPs of Cider will be available in the preview releases of the next full version of Visual Studio which is currently code named "Orcas".

Was in the release notes.
